Discover the Transformative Power of Data

To enable the creation of data-driven applications across various societal domains and to facilitate the effective sharing of data, we must address technical challenges in data modelling, standardisation, and AI. Additionally, we need to tackle issues related to privacy, security, governance, data monetization, and data sharing policies.

The second annual ‘Symposium on Data for Public Good’ aims to dismantle these barriers by uniting technology professionals, policymakers, and industry leaders. This event will serve as a platform for exchanging ideas for conceptualising and building the digital infrastructure, resources, and standards necessary for leveraging data for public good. This, in turn, will empower academics, industry professionals, service providers, government officials, and entrepreneurs to develop innovative, impactful, and practical applications for societal benefit.

The symposium will provide academics an opportunity to showcase their work and to identify relevant societal problems to focus on. Industry and government professionals can learn about the latest trends in technology and policy while also setting up booths to highlight their expertise and offerings. Policymakers will gain insights into the power of technology, as well as the threats and pitfalls they need to be cautious of.
