What We Do

From Data Exchange to AI Infrastructure

Our journey began with a simple but foundational question: how do we enable data to flow securely, reliably, and at scale across systems that were never designed to work together? What started as a pioneering urban data exchange evolved into a modular digital infrastructure that enables trusted data sharing, cross-sector collaboration, AI-ready ecosystems, and privacy-preserving innovation at national scale.

Building India’s
Data Exchange Foundation

The India Urban Data Exchange (IUDX) demonstrated that trusted data sharing could move from concept to national-scale infrastructure. Deployed across 55+ cities, it established the foundational capabilities for discovering, accessing, governing and using data across diverse public systems and domains.

Expanding Trust, Governance & Collaboration

As new sectors adopted data exchange, the platform evolved to support privacy, consent, secure access, commercial data ecosystems and multi-stakeholder governance. Data sharing moved beyond individual projects to become a trusted foundation for collaboration across governments, institutions and industries.

Powering AI Through Intelligent Data Infrastructure

Today, CDPG is building the next generation of Data DPI—connecting distributed data ecosystems, enabling AI-ready access to trusted information, supporting privacy-preserving analytics, and creating the infrastructure required for responsible AI at population scale.
