This session confronts the frontier challenges that policymakers can no longer defer: the contest over AI sovereignty and who controls critical digital infrastructure; the systemic ethical risks posed by frontier models, from accountability gaps to concentration of power; and technology&#8217;s deepening impact on the body politic from elections and institutions to the very quality of public reasoning.<\/p><p>Drawing on global perspectives across the EU, US, China, and the Global South, the session argues that nation-specific, principles-heavy approaches are insufficient for the scale of transformation underway.
